Arizona Winner of Record Jackpot Yet to Claim Prize
(firmenpresse) - PHOENIX, AZ -- (Marketwire) -- 11/29/12 -- The Arizona Lottery announced today that the winning Powerball jackpot ticket in Arizona was purchased at the 4 Sons Food Store in Fountain Hills located at 13779 N. Fountain Hills Blvd. The store will receive a selling bonus incentive of $25,000 once the ticket is redeemed.
This is the largest jackpot in Powerball history at $587.5 million, with a cash option of $384.7 million before taxes. The winning Powerball numbers are 5 - 16 - 22 - 23 - 29 PB 6 and players can check their tickets by visiting .
"We are beyond thrilled to have a Powerball jackpot winner in Arizona," said Karen Bach, director of budget, products and communications for the Arizona Lottery. "The win is even more incredible, since it happened on this historic jackpot draw!"
According to the Multi-State Lottery Association, Arizona was first in the nation for the increase of Powerball sales during the last week, up nearly 500 percent. Since the jackpot started rolling on Oct. 6, there have been two second prize $1 million winning tickets and 29 $10,000 winning tickets sold in Arizona, in addition to the winning jackpot ticket.
