Amsterdam, the Netherlands - May 17, 2010. Ahold has repurchased 350,956 Ahold
common shares in the period from May, 10, 2010 up to and including May,
14, 2010. The shares were repurchased at an average price of ? 10.0545 per share
for a total consideration of ? 3.53 million. These repurchases were made as part
of the ? 500 million share buyback program announced on March 4, 2010.
The total number of shares repurchased under this program to date is
6,056,170 common shares for a total consideration of ? 61.52 million.
