- Chairman of itelligence AG's Supervisory Board, Dr. Lutz Mellinger, to
step down on December 31, 2012
- Friedrich Fleischmann to become new Chairman of the Supervisory Board
Bielefeld, December 6, 2012 - itelligence AG today announced that the
current Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Dr. Lutz Mellinger (71), will
step down from his position for personal reasons on December 31, 2012. At
its meeting today, the Supervisory Board elected Friedrich Fleischmann
(68), who has been a member of the Supervisory Board since 2004, to take
over as Chairman (with effect from January 1, 2013). Prof. Heiner
Schumacher (67) is to be appointed as a new Supervisory Board member.
Herbert Vogel, CEO of itelligence AG: 'We would like to thank Dr. Mellinger
greatly for the constructive support and strategic foresight he provided in
his nine years as a member of the Supervisory Board, including five years
as Chairman. In recent years in particular, Dr. Mellinger played a key role
in shaping and driving ahead the successful integration of the majority
shareholder NTT DATA. Speaking personally, I am delighted that Mr.
Fleischmann is taking over as Chairman of the Supervisory Board, thereby
ensuring continuity. I would like to wish him every success in his new
role.'
Friedrich Fleischmann will contribute valuable expertise to the position of
Chairman of the Supervisory Board thanks to his many years of experience in
management functions within the IT industry.
In Prof. Heiner Schumacher, itelligence is gaining a new Supervisory Board
member who is a respected financial expert. Prof. Schumacher is an auditor
and was the head of the Bielefeld branch of KPMG AG
Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft until his retirement in 2010. Alongside his
professional career, he is a lecturer for business administration and
external accounting at the University of Bielefeld.
