Cytec Announces Treasurer Retirement

Woodland Park, New Jersey, December 11, 2012 - Cytec Industries Inc. (NYSE:CYT)
announced today the retirement of Thomas Wozniak as Treasurer of the
Corporation. Mr. Wozniak will stay through the closing of the sale of the
Coatings business expected in the first quarter of 2013 and for a period of time
afterward to allow a smooth transition to his successor.
David Drillock, Vice President and Chief Financial Officer commented, "On behalf
of Cytec's Board of Directors and Cytec's Executive Leadership Team, I want to
thank Tom for his dedication to Cytec and the many valuable contributions he has
made to the organization. Tom's career with Cytec began with our spin-off as an
independent company in December 1993 and his cost effective leadership over that
time-span resulted in large savings for the Company, including most recently,
the financing of the Umeco Plc acquisition. We wish Tom, his wife Nancy and two
children continued good health and happiness."
