Marksmen Announces Director Appointment
(firmenpresse) - CALGARY, ALBERTA -- (Marketwire) -- 12/11/12 -- Marksmen Energy Inc. (TSX VENTURE: MAH) ("Marksmen" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that it has appointed, subject to regulatory approval, Mr. William (Bill) E. Grafham to the Marksmen Board of Directors.
Mr. Grafham has had a long and highly successful career in the management of venture capital for natural resource companies and partnerships. Mr. Grafham began his career in the financial world by joining Richardson Securities, and in 1970 opened an office for Cochran Murray Ltd in Calgary, which became Merrill Lynch Canada and more recently CIBC Wood Gundy. In 1974, Bill was responsible for bringing two West Germany groups to Canada to form major West German tax oriented partnerships, and in 1976 Bill was responsible for an additional German partnership group which largely focused on uranium and precious metals in North America. From 1974 to the late 1980's these German partnerships, invested hundreds of millions of dollars in oil and gas, uranium and gold exploration projects in Canada and the US, resulting in the development of three gold mines, three uranium mines, one copper mine and many oil and gas projects. Mr. Grafham has been the founder, a significant investor and a Board member of numerous private and public resource companies.
