The Fraser Institute: Report Ranking Generosity of Canadian Provinces and US States to Be Released Thursday, December 13

(firmenpresse) - VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwire) -- 12/12/12 -- The Fraser Institute, Canada's leading public policy think-tank, will release its annual rankings of charitable giving levels in Canada and the United States, on Thursday, December 13 at 6:30 a.m. (Eastern).

Generosity in Canada and the United States: The 2012 Generosity Index measures and compares private monetary generosity in Canada's 10 provinces and three territories, and in the 50 US states and Washington, DC using readily available data on the extent and depth of charitable donations recorded on personal income tax returns.

"Our report reveals which provinces and states are the most generous and vice-versa," said Charles Lammam, Fraser Institute senior economist and co-author of the report.
