Endurance Appoints Catherine A. Kalaydjian as Chief Administrative Officer

PEMBROKE, Bermuda - December 17, 2012 - Endurance Specialty Holdings Ltd.
(NYSE:ENH), a Bermuda-based specialty provider of property and casualty
insurance and reinsurance, today announced that Catherine A. Kalaydjian will, in
addition to her current responsibilities as Chief Claims Officer, be promoted to
the role of Chief Administrative Officer and assume responsibility for Human
Resources, Marketing and Communications and Facilities. Ms. Kalaydjian is based
in Endurance's Bermuda office and will continue to report to Chief Executive
Officer David Cash. Her appointment is subject to approval by the Bermuda
Department of Immigration.

claims team, Cathy has been a passionate advocate and leader in the development
of our staff and the promotion of Endurance's culture. Over the next few years,
we are planning meaningful investments in our global insurance and reinsurance

develop and promote our staff. In asking Cathy to take on the role of Chief

significant individual contributions that Cathy has made to the company and its

Ms. Kalaydjian joined Endurance in 2003 as Senior Vice President, Head of Claims
for the U.S. reinsurance operations and has served as the Chief Claims Officer
since March 2007. During the span of her thirty year career, she has held senior
claims and administrative roles covering a broad range of reinsurance, direct
and property and casualty lines, most recently as Senior Vice President, Head of
Claims for QBE North America. Ms. Kalaydjian is an active leader in industry
organizations, where she has served on several not-for-profit boards and held
the position of President of the International Association of Claim
Professionals as well as the Association of Professional Insurance Women. Ms.
Kalaydjian holds a BA cum laude in Marketing Management from Siena College,
Loudonville, NY.
