(firmenpresse) - At drupa 2012 POLAR introduced the prototype of its BC-330. Now the One-Knife Trimmer will make its official debut at Hunkeler Innovationdays held from 11 to 15 February 2013 in Lucerne.
The live production of a brochure will show the enormous potential of POLAR One-Knife Trimmer BC-330, together with Heidelberg, Kama, ATS and Hunkeler.
The robust, networkable POLAR One-Knife Trimmer automatically cuts perfect-bound or saddlestitched products. In contrast to an automatic three-knife trimmer, POLAR's trimmer works with only one knife and has no format-dependent plunger. Sizes between DIN A6 and DIN A4 can be processed in succession, without any need to convert the machine. A gripper puts the product into the necessary cutting position. In this way, you can automatically cut up to 220 individual products per hour, or even 520 products which are stacked on top of each other.
The One-Knife Trimmer is operated using an ergonomically positioned 18.5" touchscreen display. After the operator has entered the required data via input screen form, a cutting program will be generated automatically.
The One-Knife Trimmer extends POLAR's line of products for processing small runs in digital and job printing.
