(firmenpresse) - Bernburg, June 1, 2010 – On June 7, 2010 Pumacy takes part in the Human Resource Management in European Aviation (HUMAV) conference in Berlin. In the run-up to ILA Berlin Air Show 2010 Pumacy presents a paper on organisational networks and their impact on the transfer of knowledge and experience at the aircraft manufacturer Airbus.
Although being part of the management strategy in many organisations, the continuous transfer of knowledge between people or organisational units is not yet embedded into established business routines. Organisational boundaries or inadequate communication tools are some of the most common barriers to effective knowledge transfer. The transfer of knowledge from professional to newcomer is a key challenge for organisations that provide their customers with long-term service and support.
“Companies in the aviation sector are mostly multinational companies. Their supply chains often span continents. Knowledge that isn’t shared is hidden and hard-to-reach. To avoid such a scenario, experts and newcomers have to be located within an organisation, persuaded to integrate knowledge transfer talks into their daily routine and to use the knowledge exchange as a platform for innovation. In the long run businesses will benefit from knowledge transfer as an essential means to provide quality products and long-term support service,” explains Dr. Lars Langenberg, Chief Technical Officer of Pumacy Technologies AG.
The HUMAV conference (http://www.humav-conference.com) is organised by the Wildau Insitute of Technology (WIT) in cooperation with Lufthansa Technical Training (LTT), German Aerospace Industries Association (BDLI) and Berlin-Brandenburg Aerospace Alliance (BBAA). This year’s focus will be on performance measurement and motivation as key items relevant for airlines, manufactures, airport, service providers and government institutions.
