Carbon Design Systems Appoints Hal Conklin Vice President of Sales and Marketing
EDA Leader Assumes Responsibility for Developing, Managing Worldwide Sales, Marketing Strategy
(firmenpresse) - ACTON, MA -- (Marketwire) -- 01/10/13 -- Hal Conklin today assumed the role of vice president of sales and marketing at Carbon Design Systems™ Inc. (), the leading supplier of virtual platform and secure model solutions.
Conklin reports to Richard Lucier, Carbon's president and chief executive officer (CEO), and is charged with developing and managing Carbon's worldwide sales and marketing strategy. He succeeds Scott Seaton, now president and CEO of Oasys Design Systems, and will work from Carbon's corporate headquarters in Acton, Mass.
In making today's announcement, Lucier noted Conklin's accomplishments as a high-achieving, results-oriented leader. "Hal's experience working within the Electronic Design Automation industry, along with his creativity and sales and marketing expertise, will service us well."
Conklin has a long and distinguished career in increasingly responsible roles. Most recently, he was CEO of BlueSteel Solutions, an IT management and consulting company he founded. Previously, he co-founded EDA startup CLK Design Automation and served as vice president of sales and marketing.
He has also served as vice president of sales for Revit Technology, a company acquired by Autodesk and vice president of worldwide sales at EDA software supplier Chrysalis Symbolic Design, now part of Synopsys Inc. Prior to Chrysalis, Conklin was a top sales performer at Cadence Design System, Valid Logic and Analog Design Tools.
Conklin has a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from San Jose State University.
