KESKO CORPORATION STOCK EXCHANGE RELASE 15.01.2013 AT 09.00 1(2)
The Kesko Group's sales in December 2012, excluding VAT, totalled ?838.9
million, showing a decrease of 6.1%. In December, the number of delivery days in
Kesko's wholesale was three less than in the previous year.
In Kesko's food trade, sales in December were ?391.1 million, a decrease of
5.5% compared to the previous year. The sales decrease is due to a smaller
number of delivery days compared to the previous year.
In the home and speciality goods trade, sales in December were ?214.2 million, a
decrease of 3.8%. The sales of Intersport and Budget Sport increased. The sales
of Anttila and Musta Pörssi decreased from the previous year.
In the building and home improvement trade, sales in December were ?182.3
million, a decrease of 7.2%. Sales in Finland were down 15.0%. In terms of
euros, sales abroad decreased by 0.9%. In Russia, sales increased by 7.1% in
terms of euros.
In the car and machinery trade, sales in December were ?66.4 million, a decrease
of 13.5%. VV-Auto's sales in December were ?46.2 million, down 15.9% due to a
decline of the passenger car and van market after the car tax change.
Konekesko's sales in December were ?20.3 million, a decrease of 7.6% from the
previous year.

In December 2012, the number of selling days in Kesko's wholesale in Finland was
17, which was three less than in the previous year. The total number of selling
days in January-December was two less than in the previous year. The number of
retail selling days in December was 28, which was the same as in the previous
year. The total number of retail selling days in January-December was one more
than in the previous year.
