Implementation Provides User-Friendly Online Capabilities for Insureds and Independent Agents
(firmenpresse) - SAN JOSE, CA and COLUMBIA, MO -- (Marketwire) -- 01/17/13 -- is pleased to announce that (Cornerstone) implemented ISCS's SurePower Innovation® Policy Administration Suite in its Missouri and Oklahoma markets, which the company followed up with an agency roadshow highlighting the agent interface.
Cornerstone's results include a high rate of agency adoption, expansion of the company's agency base, and a significant increase in straight-through processing (STP) percentages achieved without relaxing any underwriting criteria. The implementation of SurePower Innovation highlights Cornerstone's commitment to ease of doing business, customer service and developing future capabilities to compete in markets shared with well-known, national auto insurance providers.
"We were looking for a long-term solution that included a consolidated customer-service portal -- a one-stop for customers to view documents, pay bills, file claims -- and a customer sales portal," explained Roger Walker, chief operating officer for Cornerstone. "We also know change is constant and required the vendor have a track record of developing their system as technology advances. We had tough criteria, and ISCS rose to the top."
With shrinking margins and increased competition from larger companies, Walker indicated he feels it is critical for smaller insurers like Cornerstone to provide user-friendly services to both insureds and independent insurance agents in order to succeed. For example, ISCS's modern architecture software allows agents to interface with ISO ClaimSearch and car rental companies directly through Cornerstone's platform.
In addition to finding the right solution provider, Cornerstone sought a partner who could help with implementation strategy. "That's one of the things ISCS does very well," Walker said. "They understand the insurance business, and they help you become better."
Cornerstone met its implementation deadlines, and gave credit for the success to a combination of the right people working with the right techniques and technologies, particularly the adoption of agile project methodology and the pre-integration of the SurePower Innovation Suite's components. Cornerstone's 2013 plans include extending SurePower Innovation's use for business in Arkansas, Kansas and Texas.
