Oslo, January 18, 2013. Höegh Autoliners has placed an order with Xiamen
Shipbuilding Industry for three next generation PCTCs (Pure Car and Truck
Carriers), with option for more. The vessels will be Post-Panamax type, with a
carrying capacity of 8 500 cars and are to be delivered from 2015.  These will
be state-of-the art vessels, that will be built on a new design which has been
developed over many years of industry experience.

Ingar Skiaker, CEO, says: "We are very pleased to announce the contracting of
the next generation car carriers. We always strive to add value to our
customers' transportation and logistics solutions. With the new vessel design we
will be able to cater for a greater variety of cargo, and add flexibility to our
fleet. This will enhance the service we offer to our customers. The order is a
continuation of our fleet renewal program, replacing older vessels that will be
phased out within the same time frame"

Xiamen Shipbuilding Industries will build the vessels for Höegh Autoliners, and
is the yard in China with most experience in the construction of car carriers.
The yard has previously delivered four PCTCs to Höegh Autoliners, in 2010 and
2011.
