E931.08 provides sensor connection via single-wire solution

With the component E931.08, Elmos offers reliable thermopile signal
processing. The IC has been developed specifically for the interface
between thermopile sensor and microcontroller or processor.

The microcontroller is connected via single-wire with a DOCI(TM) (Data Out,
Clock In) interface. Various devices resp. channels can be used at the same
time trouble-free.

The thermopile sensor is directly connected with the analog input of the
E931.08. The sensor signal is converted into a 17 bit digital value and
transmitted to the external microcontroller via DOCI(TM) interface.

The IC features highly accurate signal processing of the temperature with a
tolerance of less than 0.02K.

The low operating voltage (<3V) and low power consumption allow the use of
the E931.08 in battery-driven devices.

Possible applications for the E931.08 are compact-sized ear thermometers,
high-precision temperature telemetry, infrared pyrometers and thermo
elements.
