EASY SOFTWARE AG concludes acquisition of majority shares in otris software
AG
The last formal step necessary to acquire the majority of shares in otris
software AG of Dortmund, Germany, as reported ad hoc on April 27, 2010, was
taken yesterday at the general meeting of otris software AG. The
acquisition of majority shares by EASY was confirmed through the complete
approval of the otris software AG shareholders. EASY CEO Gereon Neuhaus,
who will chair the Supervisory Board of otris software AG, considers this
acquisition to significantly strengthen development competence in business
process solutions. otris has been EASY development partner since 2002 and,
being one of the most innovative market players, has trendsetting software
technologies in the business process solutions sector. Since otris
currently derives about 60% of its overall sales amounting to EUR 4.0
million from business with third-party customers, sales within the EASY
Group will proportionally increase during the second half of 2010. However,
the Management Board considers the essential effects to be in combining
development competence and in intermediate to long-term increase in EASY
SOFTWARE's return on sales.
With more than 1,300 production workflow solutions in over 10,000 customer
installations in the enterprise content management sector, EASY SOFTWARE AG
is already the market leader in German-speaking markets. Combining the
competence of both enterprises gives EASY the option of faster growth in
the market segment of business process solutions, and of expanding its
position as a market leader. At the Customer and Partner Conference, held
June 23 and 24, 2010 at Westfalenstadion, Dortmund (Germany), EASY and
otris will showcase an initial preview of newly developed solution
scenarios to more than 50 partner companies.
