Tieto appoints Willem Hendrickx as Head of Telecom & Media

Willem Hendrickx (born 1968) has been appointed Executive Vice President,
Telecom & Media and member of Tieto's Leadership Team as of 9 August 2010. He
will also be responsible for country operations concerning Italy, Spain, the
Netherlands and the UK as a part of Tieto International business structure. The
other International countries will continue to report to Pekka Viljakainen.
Hendrickx joins Tieto from EMC Corporation where his latest position was Senior
Vice President, Global Channels. In this role, he reported to the Vice Chairman
and was responsible for the execution of EMC's global go-to-market strategy for
its channel business and expanding the company's marketplace beyond the
enterprise customers to commercial and small-medium businesses.
Hendrickx has a degree in Commercial Sciences and holds a Masters degree in
Economics from the European Institute of Higher Education (EHSAL) in Brussels,
Belgium.
Bengt Möller, the former head of Telecom & Media will continue in Tieto and he
will focus on driving the R&D transformation in the Telecom & media industry.
Hendrickx joined EMC in 2001 and has occupied several senior management
positions, including EMEA Vice President, Channel & Mid-Market. He has also
worked as Regional Manager for Europe North and the Country Manager for the
Netherlands. From 1996 to 2001, he worked in different managerial and executive
positions in the U.S.-based software company Parametric Technology Company PTC.
Earlier in his career, he has worked at LCI and Xerox in senior sales positions.
