KEM STUDIO to Judge and Present at Upcoming Design Industry Events
(firmenpresse) - KANSAS CITY, MO -- (Marketwire) -- 02/07/13 -- , a design firm fusing architecture and industrial design, will participate in two prestigious events in the design industry this spring. On March 3, the International Housewares Association will present the winners of its 20th Annual Student Design Competition; KEM STUDIO Principal Jonathon Kemnitzer was a judge for the competition. The following month, on April 20, Kemnitzer will present at the IDSA Midwest District Design conference on "The Mix," discussing a strategic approach to global collaboration.
Details on the two events are below:
At the end of January, ten professional designers met at the IHA office to review 256 entries from U.S. and international universities. They selected six top winners and five honorable mentions. The judging panel was composed of industrial design professors, design consultants and design managers.
The winners will be at the show to explain their concepts for products of the future.
Jonathon Kemnitzer stated, "In my second year judging this competition, I was again impressed by the students' concepts and ingenuity. With so many entries it was difficult to choose the winners; I hope these students continue to follow their passions and pursue a career in the field of design."

The theme of this year's Midwest conference is New Paradigms for Design. Jonathon Kemnitzer, principal of KEM STUDIO will present a session titled "" on April 20. A description of the session follows:
