Better Watch Out, Pop Fans -- Rachel Arianna's Gonna Be "Walking Away With Your Heart"
Due February 12, the 9-Year-Old Singer/Songwriter's Infectious Debut Single, Produced by Andrew Williams (Colbie Caillat, Jessica Simpson, Five for Fighting), Appears in the Film "Lies I Told My Little Sister," Which Includes Rachel in a Supporting Role
(firmenpresse) - LOS ANGELES, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 02/12/13 -- The title of Rachel Arianna's infectious debut single says it all about what the multi-talented nine-year-old is about to do with pop fans all around the world -- "Walking Away With Your Heart."
Dropping the middle of Valentine's Week (February 12), the track, co-penned by the young singer/songwriter with Cofield Mundi and produced by Andrew Williams, is also featured in "Lies I Told My Little Sister," an independent film by director William J. Stribling.
Rachel plays a supporting role in the film as "Young Jane."
"'Walking Away With Your Heart' is a song about releasing your imagination, having fun and working together as a team," Rachel says, "with everyone having fun, enjoying and loving each other. The theme of a 'heart living love' came to me when I was participating in the Jump Rope for Heart charity event at my school."
Later this month, Rachel will be shooting a video for the song with Traci Goudie, Director of the video for Hunter Hayes' "Wanted," which won a 2012 American Country Award for Best Music Video/New Artist.
The industry veterans that Rachel has worked with recently have high praise for the young performer, who also played the role of "Annika" in a recent off-Broadway production of "Pippi Longstocking" and whose dancing talents were featured in a commercial for PediaCare children's cold medication. Rachel has also received her first endorsement deal with Sennheiser Microphones.
Goudie says of Rachel, "I am so excited to work with Rachel and make sure her vision for her music video for 'Walking Away With Your Heart' comes to life. She is such a talent."
Williams, the song's producer, says, "A songwriter writing songs and singing this good at age nine is a rare find indeed."
Stribling adds, "A lot of directors dread working with child actors, but they clearly haven't worked with Rachel. Rachel is way too smart and talented for her age and I plan on riding her coattails to fame and fortune. Do not underestimate this girl."
