The Bar Method(R) Opens Fourth Florida Location in Dr. Phillips
(firmenpresse) - SAN FRANCISCO, CA and ORLANDO, FL -- (Marketwire) -- 02/13/13 -- Everything that has made the Orlando area truly unique and exceptional comes together in the community of Dr. Phillips, located right outside downtown Orlando. The newest Bar Method location opened earlier this month in the Dr. Phillips Marketplace Shopping Center. The popular one-hour workout merges the body-elongating practice of dance conditioning, the science of physical therapy and the pace of interval training.
Women everywhere have come to know and covet the Bar Method Body -- characterized by sculpted arms, flat abs, a lifted seat, and elongated thighs. The Bar Method emphasizes sculpting more than other bar workouts by targeting the muscles that play the largest role in changing the shape of the body. It is the only bar workout that was designed under the guidance of physical therapists to ensure joint safety. Its teachers receive unique training in healthy patterns of movement, body connection, mental focus and posture.
Dr. Phillips co-owners Cayce Hurley and Karen Moreno became so passionate about the program as clients they became studio owners themselves. Karen says, "In 2009, there were no studios in Orlando. My first Bar Method experience was through the DVDs...in 2011, I opened Bar Method Winter Park." Dancing since she was six years old, Karen understands the importance of staying healthy and fit. "I never quite found an exercise or workout that made sense for me until I discovered The Bar Method."
For Cayce, it was a class at Karen's Winter Park studio that inspired her to become a franchise owner. "The Bar Method has changed my body and my life," says Cayce. "I was an avid runner but had little definition and strength and due to multiple pregnancies I was unable to perform any abdominal exercises. I found new strength with The Bar Method." Cayce has 20+year background as a physical therapist. "I understand how the body works and the specific anatomy in the Bar Method technique. I use this knowledge to express and demonstrate the health benefits of the Bar Method to my students."
