WORLDLINK APPOINTS COAL IT AS ITS SALES PARTNER TO MAKE AVAILABLE FREE REAL-TIME FINANCIAL INFORMATION SERVICE TO THE FINANCIAL SERVICES INDUSTRY
Worldlink, the owner of the UK and US patents for the transmission of profiled REAL-time data to mobile devices, has appointed Coal IT as its sales team to increase Worldlink’s exposure to the financial services sector. Coal IT has a significant client base of City institutions to which it plans to introduce Worldlink’s patented products and services.
The first product Coal IT will be promoting is Worldlink’s imobilemarkets financial service product which is available FREE. The aim is to secure agreements from financial institutions to offer this product to their clients. Worldlink’s Head of Advertising and Sponsorship, Paul Baily, will manage the relationship with Coal IT.
In this time of increasing financial volatility, investors want to keep up to speed with what is happening in the financial markets and until now, they have had to rely on services which are at least 15 minutes delayed. As we have seen in recent months, minutes, even seconds, can see massive swings in stock markets and relying on a delayed service could mean the difference between making and losing money.
Investors are also becoming more sophisticated trading Spread, Contracts for Difference and Currencies. This demands access to real-time information so that money can be made whether you are travelling on the train or having lunch.
Through the imobilemarkets service, clients will have access to the following:
•Stock Markets – REAL-time share information so that customers can watch share prices change in REAL-time across the London Stock Exchange, Turquoise, AIM and Plus markets
•Foreign Exchange – REAL-time information on a wide range of currency pairings
•Commodities – pricing information on the most popular currencies traded
•Watchlists – where you can track the performance of your own share portfolio
•News – Stock market, economic and company information can be tracked in REAL-time so you can find out what news and how the news affects the stock market
•Charts – customers can track the historic performance of a share for example, over a five year period
The imobilemarkets product will also allows clients to trade via the service. Once a customer subscribes, they can take advantage of the “Broker Button” which is a telephone number linked directly to Worldlink’s share dealing service so shares can be bought and sold wherever a customer happens to be.
Terry Leighton, Chief Executive of Coal IT, commented: “Worldlink is the leading innovator in providing REAL- time information via mobile and desk top devices. With our client base, which are all financial services based, we see this as a significant market from which we can secure clients for Worldlink’s products and services. Coal IT is delighted to be entering into a joint venture sales initiative with the Company and we are confident of its success.”
Neil Riches, Managing Director and Founder of Worldlink commented: “Coal IT bring a wealth of experience in the financial services sector which we see as a core target for us. Our intention is to secure retail clients who have an interest in financial markets to subscribe for FREE to our imobilemarkets service which is the only financial information product that truly provides REAL-time information. imobilemarkets is available both via the mobile and desktop. All the other products offer delayed information which is not ideal in an industry which is fast moving, dynamic and where decisions have to be made in seconds. The appointment of Coal IT is part of Worldlink’s initiative to accelerate our move into sectors of the market where REAL-time information is essential.”
