Zhone Technologies Reveals zNID 2301 at FTTH London 2013
Indoor GPON ONT offers smallest form-factor model available on the market
Oakland, CA - Feb 20, 2013 - Zhone Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: ZHNE), a global
leader in FTTx network access solutions, announced that it has expanded its
indoor GPON ONT line to include the zNid 2301, released today at the FTTH
Conference 2013, London (February 19-21; Zhone booth S15). The zNID 2301 GPON
ONT, created for residential and small business services, provides many features
in the smallest available CPE package, including high quality voice and data
services and multicast video support.
The zNID 2301 is ideal for fiber to the home (FFTH) or small business
deployments where high-speed data needs to be transported reliably. Due to its
incredibly small form factor, the zNID 2301 ONT may be mounted on a wall or
placed free-standing on a desktop. It also operates well in conjunction with
separate residential gateway devices such as routers and WiFi access points to
provide flexible triple-play configurations. It can also be equipped with a
battery-backup system if necessary.

to outdoor ONT solutions, but to also deliver the full range of advanced IP

Compliant with standard OMCI definitions, the zNID 2301 is easily managed from
remote sites and supports the full range FCAPS functions including supervision,
monitoring and maintenance. Zhone provides the fully managed, end-to-end GPON
solution, allowing its customers to buy a complete and fully tested solution
from one source.
