Westfield Appoints Craig Welsh Group Distribution Leader
(firmenpresse) - WESTFIELD CENTER, OH -- (Marketwire) -- 02/25/13 -- Westfield Insurance has announced the appointment of Craig Welsh as Group Distribution Leader. This leadership position is responsible for providing enterprise-wide distribution oversight, including implementation of Westfield's distribution strategy initiative, an ongoing effort to create value in relationships with agencies that are strongly aligned with Westfield and the evolving expectations of customers. Westfield distributes its products exclusively through a network of more than 1,000 independent agencies.
Welsh has 20 years of insurance experience with Westfield. He most recently served as AgriBusiness Division Leader, leading underwriting and sales for this $150 million business unit. Previously, he served as a regional leader in AgriBusiness and also held several field marketing and underwriting roles earlier in his career at Westfield.
He earned a Master's degree from Boston University and a BA in Economics and Government from West Virginia Wesleyan College. Welsh received the CPCU (Chartered Property & Casualty Underwriter) designation in 2001 and the AFIS (Agribusiness & Farm Insurance Specialist) designation in 2007.
