Sienna Gold Appoints Luis-Felipe Arizmendi E. to the Board of Directors

(firmenpresse) - CALGARY, ALBERTA -- (Marketwire) -- 02/26/13 -- Sienna Gold Inc. ("Sienna" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE: SGP) (LMA: SGP) is pleased to announce that Luis-Felipe Arizmendi E. has been appointed as a director of Sienna. Mr. Arizmendi brings formidable experience to the Board in economics and financing.

Mr. Arizmendi has just resigned as the Chairman and CEO of Grupo Privado de Inversiones Valores S.A., Sociedad Agente de Bolsa, a Peruvian investment banking firm where he was responsible for the funding and support of Sienna in its last three financings. He brings a thorough understanding of the investment and banking side to the Board of the Company, and joins the Company with a view helping to solidify the Company's capital structure and moving the Igor Project through feasibility to production.

At the present time he is also Chairman of the Board of the Peruvian Brokers Association (ASAB Peru), as well holding senior positions as advisor and board member of many societies in Peru.

The Company feels that it is very fortunate to be able to attract the individuals with the experience and expertise of Mr. Arizmendi and welcomes him on to our board.

Sienna Gold Inc. is a gold exploration company with property interests in Peru. Its key prospect is the Igor Mine Project, a formerly producing mine that the Corporation plans to explore further.
