Youbisheng Green Paper increases profitability in 2012
Munich, 27 February 2013. Youbisheng Green Paper AG, a Chinese manufacturer
of eco-friendly linerboard for the growing Chinese consumer goods industry,
further improved its profitability in the financial year 2012. According to
preliminary calculations, revenues increased by 6.9 per-cent
to 98.6 million Euros (2011: 92.2 million Euros). Due to the lower selling
price, which dropped by 2.7 per-cent, the company's targeted revenue of 105
million Euros was slightly missed. Nevertheless, since the cost of recycled
paper decreased by even 8.8 per-cent compared to the previous year, the
EBIT increased significantly from 20.8 million Euros to 24.1 million Euros
in 2012, representing an improved EBIT margin of 24.5 per-cent (2011: 22.5
per-cent).
The company's gross profit margin improved to 27.1 per-cent, while the
gross profit margin in the previous year amounted to 25.0 per-cent.
Youbisheng focused on the sale of the higher profit products such as
double-sided testliner and anti counterfeit testliner, which enabled the
company to increase its profit margin. Operating at full capacity,
Youbisheng achieved a stable total sales volume of 220,338 tons in 2012
(2011: 221,741 tons). Youbisheng continues to provide innovative and
high-quality packaging solutions for the end user.
Net profit for the year grew by 19.2 per-cent, from 15.3 million Euros in
2011 to 18.2 million Euros in 2012.

clean-tech leader of eco-friendly produced linerboard from up to 100 per
cent recovered fibres. The high-quality linerboard innovations of
Youbisheng take up a special position in the Chinese market and are
produced in the own production plant near Quanzhou City. They are used in
the packaging industry in the Fujian and Guangdong Province (together about
141 million inhabitants), especially for visually attractive sales
packaging and carrier bags of high-quality consumer goods.
Youbisheng has been operating as a paper producer since 2000. In fiscal
year 2011 and with its production plants operating at full capacity, it
manufactured almost 150,000 metric tons of linerboard, making it one of the
biggest linerboard producers in Fujian and Guangdong Provinces.
