GRAMMER AG supplies new generation of Volkswagen Touareg
Amberg / July 2nd, 2010 - GRAMMER AG, automotive supplier and seating
systems manufacturer, is supplying interior components for the second
generation of the Volkswagen Touareg. GRAMMER thus underscores its
competence as a reliable development partner and module supplier.
The comprehensive package of components for the Volkswagen sport utility
vehicle includes the new generation X-adjustable front headrests, as well
as rear headrests, front and rear armrests and the complete center console,
including built-in features. GRAMMER has been developing and supplying
Volkswagen components for years, for instance the center console for the
Volkswagen Passat and many other complex components worldwide. Since the
spring of this year, the company is also supplying key interior components
for the new Volkswagen Touareg SUV. According to current planning, the
components are to be installed in more than half a million vehicles before
the model changeover in 2018.
With this strategic reorientation, GRAMMER is positioning itself
increasingly as a competent and innovative system supplier in the
automotive industry. The technology that GRAMMER has developed for the
Touareg satisfies the high quality and safety standards of the northern
German carmaker, while offering maximum comfort and protection to drivers,
