General Motors February Sales
(Data is not adjusted for the difference in selling days; February 2013 had 24 selling days and February 2012 had 25 selling days)
(firmenpresse) - OSHAWA, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 03/01/13 -- In February 2013, sales in virtually all passenger car segments continued to be strong for Chevrolet, Buick and Cadillac. Chevrolet's mini, small and compact cars (Spark, Sonic and Cruze) had a 29 per cent increase for the month. Buick Verano's sales increased by nearly 42 per cent for the month and Cadillac car sales are up 22 per cent for the month, driven largely by the strong performance of the all-new Cadillac ATS, the North American Car of the Year. Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac dealers delivered 13,987 vehicles in February 2013.
"Our clear focus is on transforming our company by offering the world's best vehicles which deliver significant value to our customers," said Marc Comeau, GM of Canada's vice-president of sales, service and marketing. "Third parties are recognizing our progress, for example the Cadillac ATS recently received the ALG Residual Value Award in the Premium MidSize Car Segment. The foundation we are establishing will allow us to continue to grow our business the right way with the right mix of products for our customers."
February 2013 Sales Highlights
Total GM sales were down 1.9 per cent compared to last February, however, when adjusted for selling days, total GM sales were up 2.2 per cent.
