Media Advisory/REMINDER: Minister Oliver to Highlight Canada-U.S. Energy Relationship

(firmenpresse) - OTTAWA, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 03/05/13 -- The Honourable Joe Oliver, Canada's Minister of Natural Resources, will deliver remarks hosted by the Chicago Council on Global Affairs about the strong relationship that exists between Canada and the United States on energy and the environment. He will discuss Canada's leadership advancing our shared interests in enhancing environmental protection and energy security to support jobs, economic growth and our long-term prosperity.

During his visit, the Minister will also visit the Pipe Fitters' Training Center in Mokena, Illinois, to witness an example of the benefits Canadian energy is providing for jobs and growth on both sides of our shared border. Media are invited to tour the facility with the Minister. Minister Oliver will deliver short remarks at the completion of the tour.

Minister Oliver will be available briefly to answer questions from the media following each event. The Minister will also hold a call-back for media from Chicago (dial-in information below).
