Hedwyg Van Groenendaal Wins for Inspiring Prezi Based on Bryan Stevenson's "We Need to Talk About an Injustice" TED Talk

In February, Prezi teamed up with the illustrious Technology, Education, Design (TED) conference and launched "Ideas Matter," a contest to unite Prezi's commitment to the proliferation of big ideas with TED's platform to showcase "ideas worth spreading." Hedwyg Van Groenendaal of the Netherlands has been selected the winner. She created a powerful based on Bryan Stevenson's impassioned talk from TED 2012, entitled "." This week at TED2013 in Long Beach, Calif. TED Curator Chris Anderson and Prezi CEO Peter Arvai selected the grand prize winner from a competitive pool of 12 finalists. After weeks of voting, two (or three in the case of tie) finalists were chosen for each of the five TEDTalks.
The contest called upon the global Prezi community to create a prezi inspired by one of five notable TED presentations, including critically acclaimed author of "Eat Pray Love," , world renowned spoken word poet and founder of Project V.O.I.C.E., and New York Times bestselling author, . All of the finalists will receive lifetime Prezi Pro licenses.
