Ten KLM flights a Week to Tokyo from November

Amstelveen, 8 July 2010 - KLM Royal Dutch Airlines will strengthen its position
in the Japanese market by operating three additional flights a week between
Amsterdam Airport Schiphol and Tokyo Narita International Airport from
November. This raises the total number of Amsterdam-Tokyo flights to ten a week.
In so doing, KLM not only strengthens the longstanding ties between the
Netherlands and Japan, but also meets demand driven by the many Japanese
companies operating in the Netherlands.
The three new flights will be operated using Boeing 747-400 Combi equipment,
seating 275 passengers and carrying 35 tonnes of cargo. From 4 November 2010,
flight KL863 will depart from Schiphol at 13:50 hours CET on Thursdays, Fridays
and Saturdays, arriving in Tokyo the next day at 08:55 hours. The return flight,
KL864, will depart from Tokyo at 12:00 hours local time on Fridays, Saturdays
and Sundays, arriving in Amsterdam at 15:35 hours CET the same day. The new
flights can be booked from today via reservations systems orwww.klm.com.
Asia remains a strategic growth market for KLM. In recent years, KLM has offered
its customers a steadily increasing range of flights to Asian destinations. New
destinations such as Hangzhou (China) and Denpasar (Indonesia) were added to
KLM's intercontinental network out of Schiphol. KLM also increased flight
frequency to Osaka, Shanghai, Seoul and Chengdu.
