EurOmax receives dissident circular and appoints Special Committee to respond
Annual General Meeting postponed to August 24
VANCOUVER, CANADA – July 8, 2010 – EurOmax Resources Limited (TSX-V: EOX) ("EurOmax" or the "Corporation") announces that a circular has been filed by dissident shareholders seeking to replace EurOmax’s Board of Directors. In response, the Board of Directors has formed a Special Committee comprised of independent directors to recommend a response by the Corporation to the dissident circular. The Board of Directors has also postponed EurOmax’s Annual General Meeting to allow for a proper response to the dissident filing and to allow shareholders to properly consider these matters. The law firm of Ogilvy Renault LLP has been retained to advise the Special Committee and the Corporation has engaged Kingsdale Shareholder Services Inc. as its proxy solicitation agent.
Annual General Meeting
Euromax will hold its Annual General Meeting on Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. (Vancouver Time) at the offices of Lawson Lundell LLP, 1600 Cathedral Place, 925 West Georgia Street, Vancouver, B.C. Shareholders of record as at the close of business on July 20, 2010 are entitled to vote at the meeting. Voting instructions will be sent to shareholders with the Notice of Meeting, Management Information Circular and Proxy.
