Choosing the right bathroom mirror can be the key to making your bathroom unique, says Mr Mirror.

But when it comes to accessorising and adding the all-important finishing touches, the scope can feel a bit more limiting.
According to specialist online mirror retailer Mr Mirror, this is why choosing the right mirror is so important. A spokesperson said: "It's a little more difficult to decorate and accessorise a bathroom simply because of the way it's used. It gets wet and damp and some other accessories that you may use in a lounge, for example, simply wouldn't work here.
"But that doesn't mean that you have to rely on tiles to make a statement and add colour and interest. Choosing the right kind of mirror - in terms of size, style and shape - can be the perfect solution by not only making a design statement but by providing the illusion of space and light if your room is on the small side."
But there are many things to consider when choosing the right mirror for your bathroom. Firstly, the size of the mirror. Does it need to be full length or just big enough for shaving? Consideration should also be given to the size of the mirror in proportion to the rest of the room, and how much wall space is available. An attempt at a design statement could easily become overbearing.
Secondly, the style of your mirror. An antique style mirror, for example, may look out of place in an ultra contemporary bathroom. Think about the style you have chosen for your suite and tiles and choose a mirror which will complement the rest of the room.
It would be easy to opt for a square or round shaped mirror, but are a great alternative and not quite as common as some of the more traditional shapes.
If colour is an option, do you want subtle or bold? , for example, are designed to be contemporary and to make a statement but frames in white or etched glass would work well if something more subtle was required.
