These garments can be made from all sorts of different fabrics including acrylic nylon, cotton and even wool. With these specialty garments comes a button, zipper or Velcro strap that allows the garment to be secured in the back. This allows the caregiver to the disabled person to clothe the person quickly and easily.
With so many types of diseases and illness that can disable a person’s mobility it is important to have a certain type of clothing that will, enable a person with disabilities to dress comfortably. You also want to have clothing that will not aggravate their illness or re-injury them. There are a whole host of different illnesses and disorders that will require special clothing to keep the person at their healthiest. Some of these disorders include arthritis, multiple sclerosis, oedema, stroke, spinal cord injury, diabetes and Muscular Dystrophy. Depending on the disorder and the severity will determine the types of clothing a person will need.
There are all types of different clothing that is apart of the adaptive clothing line including adult bibs to help some disabled people eat and stay clean. There are also pants that have a drop seat attachment that allows disabled people to use the bathroom whenever a bathroom accident may occur. Instead of wearing a belt an elastic band may be used to keep a disabled person’s pants up and offer them more comfort than a belt. Men’s handicapped clothing and Men’s disabled clothing can be found on the internet for some unbelievable prices. Most sites that sell adaptive clothing will usually offer a bulk specialty price.
