Therefore, you almost have to be an idealist, to found a new photographers agency in times like this. But for Ivonne Kutzer it is a welcome challenge for her and she is excited about her new tasks that lie ahead. Two years ago, the 35-year old found her agency Ivonne Kutzer photographers and started with three renouned photographers.
„Yes, the market has become more competitive and challenging. But that‘s the case for most jobs in the media and creative field.“ says the manager that holds a degree in marketing and strategic management. „Today, it is much more important to market yourself professionally, develop a clear and recognizable profile and position yourself uniquely on the market. Ten or fifteen years ago, self marketing only played a minor part. Today, it is as important as good technique and professional work.“
And the manager know, what she is talking about. She has worked for several media companies for 7 years and has been a consultant and business coach for the past 5 years for publishing houses, agencies and self-employed artists and creative people. One of her focus is coaching photographers. So the step to founding her own photographers agency just came natural. „Now, I am not only the coach, that give good advice and helps developing creative concepts. No, now I can dig in and implement marketing strategies for my photographers and handle daily business, projects and shootings.“
Because Ivonne Kutzer thinks, that it is important to uniquely position yourself on the market, she intently chose three photographers to start with, that attend to niche markets.
Christian Zehe is specialized on kids photography - with great passion. Photographing children requires a lot of sensitivity for kids and maybe even more a little tendency toward being a kid yourself. And Christian Zehe brings that to the table when photographing. Over the past years, he has shot several lookbook productions for mail order companies and fashion labels, like bonprix and Ernsting‘s family, as well as cover shoots and editorials for German parenting magazine familie&co.
Ingo Barenschee has been working in the field of automotive photography for the past 15 years. The travel-enthusiast produced photo spreads for car manufacturers all over the world. Besides working in advertising and PR-photography, Ingo also likes to work on reportages. Hence, it can happen, that he is hip-deep in water while photographing a Jeep Wrangler in the middle of Africa.
André Hentzien is the specialist for 360 degree round shots in the portfolio of Ivonne Kutzer. With his photographies and virtual tours, he allows viewers to explore buildings, restaurants and other locations in a new three-dimensional way.
With these three photographers and her own marketing background, Ivonne Kutzer feels well prepared for inquiries and can offer advertising agencies not only specialized photographers but a full service - from developing concepts to photo production.
