TÜV Süd test mark for Air Excellent air ducting system

Brilon, March 12, 2013: the Ubbink Centrotherm Group, a fully-owned
subsidiary of the SDAX-listed CENTROTEC Sustainable AG, has become the
first manufacturer to receive the TÜV Süd test mark for its Air Excellent
air ducting system, confirming compliance with the quality standard
(TAK 01-2013) for non-metallic air ducting systems. Along with central
ventilation systems with a heat recovery function, air ducting systems form
the very heart of a mechanical ventilation arrangement in modern,
energy-efficient buildings. These comfort-oriented ventilation systems pave
the way for an optimum interior climate all year round, coupled with
supreme energy efficiency thanks to the recovery of thermal energy inside
the building's shell.
The Air Excellent air ducting system was developed by CENTROTEC companies
and has for many years been manufactured within the group, which
distributes it via its own sales organisation and also markets it as an OEM
product. 'We are proud that the important characteristics of our air
ducting system, such as high air tightness and low pressure loss, but
especially its antibacterial and antistatic properties plus its ease of
cleaning, have now been confirmed by a recognised, independent test
institute such as TÜV Süd,' declared a delighted Gert-Jan Huisman, Chairman
of the Management Board of CENTROTEC Sustainable AG, in response to the
news of the test mark.
The Air Excellent air ducting system consists not only of the air duct
proper, which combines compact installed dimensions based on its special
cross-section with high reliability, but also a large number of other
components for ducting and distribution in the building, plus air
diffusers. The connection between individual duct sections can be made
air-tight thanks to an innovative connection and sealing concept, without
the need for any additional sealing or bonding; this makes it efficient and
economical to handle on site.
The necessary tests were successfully completed by TÜV Süd in time for the
ISH, the world's biggest industry exhibition for heating and climate
control technology, which takes place in Frankfurt from March 12 to 16. The
Air Excellent air ducting system can also be viewed there at the stands of
the CENTROTEC subsidiaries Ubbink / Centrotherm, Wolf and Brink Climate
Systems.
