Perth, WA and Greer, South Carolina, Alexium International Group Limited (Alexium) (ASX:AJX, AX:AJX, OTC QX:AXXIY) announced today that Duro Textiles LLC, the licensee of Alexium’s Ascalon™ nylon flame retardant treatment, will introduce products to the textile market at the Techtextile North America show in Anaheim March 19-21, 2013. Techtextile North America is the premier tradeshow for the technical textiles and nonwovens industry.
Duro will be exhibiting at Techtextil North America in Anaheim (Booth # 405), showcasing its extensive list of products and Alexium’s novel Ascalon™ flame retardant capabilities. The target audience is a broad field of customers in the military and commercial sector seeking unparalleled FR performance on a range of different nylon products.
Over the last nine months, Alexium has worked very closely with Duro Textiles on product development and prioritized the earliest customer applications for the North American textile market. Duro will continue to market these new capabilities and take pre-orders for new lines of FR-treated nylon products.
Alexium’s novel, environmentally friendly, bromine and halogen-free, flame retardant Ascalon™ nylon treatment is addressing the need in many different textile markets as well as traditional flame retardant applications. Shortly after transitioning the Ascalon™ treatment to Duro’s production floor in Fall River, MA, Alexium will turn its attention to licensing and roll-out to partners in other global territories.
