Prime Office earns sustainability certificates for three additional
portfolio properties
- The T-Systems building in Darmstadt, the property in the Gruga-Park in
Essen and the 'emporia' in Stuttgart-Moehringen have been awarded
'BREEAM DE In-Use' certificates
- 'Very good' structural quality, 'good' operational performance
- Rental space certified under sustainability criteria increases to about
70 per cent of the total Prime Office portfolio
Munich 14 March 2013. Prime Office REIT-AG ('Prime Office'), a leading
listed property company with REIT status focusing on high-quality office
properties in Germany including their operation and management, applied for
and obtained certifications for another three of its portfolio properties
under the 'BREEAM DE in use' standard for sustainable portfolio properties.
Certification was awarded to the following office buildings: the T-Systems
building in Darmstadt, the head office of the Hochtief subsidiary in the
Gruga-Park in Essen and the 'emporia' in Stuttgart-Moehringen.
The results of the certification process again testify to the high property
qualities within the real estate holdings of Prime Office. The T-Systems
building, the head office of the Hochtief subsidiaries in the Alfredstrasse
in Essen and the 'emporia' in Stuttgart-Moehringen were awarded four out of
six stars for their structural quality which was considered 'very good'.
All three properties were also given three out of stars for building
operation which translates into a 'good' ranking.
Together with the 'T-Online headquarters' in Darmstadt, the 'Xcite' in
Düsseldorf, the 'SZ-Tower' in Munich and the German head office of
Medtronic in Dusseldorf/Meerbusch, all of which already hold certificates,
Prime Office has by now obtained sustainability appraisals under globally
recognised certification systems for seven buildings which, together,
account for approximately 70 per cent of the portfolio's rental space. This
makes Prime Office a leading player in this field in Germany.
