CeBIT on the money for SAPERION
(firmenpresse) - SAPERION AG held more than 100 qualified technical discussions during CeBIT 2013. Larger firms, in particular, were interested in the three new solutions SAPERION ECM for Microsoft SharePoint, SAPERION ECM E-Mail Lifecycle Management, and SAPERION ECM Together. Most discussions were held with IT managers from these organizations.
Berlin - In contrast to the generally reserved assessment of this year's CeBIT, SAPERION CEO Herbert Lörch has a very positive outlook: "The number of qualified discussions was similar to last year although we no longer had the exposure of four booths from our partners. Instead, we were represented by just our own booth at the Bitkom ECM Solutions Park.
An analysis of the visitors' industry backgrounds reveals a few surprises. The largest group of visitors was from public organizations like state, regional, and city authorities. During the discussions it became apparent that e-government and customer orientation are growing in importance and that expanding volumes of documents are making ECM solutions essential.
Manufacturing companies represented the second largest group of visitors. Their primary concerns are legally-secure archiving and ways to handle product liability.
In nearly all of the conversations, SAPERION ECM for Microsoft SharePoint was an important subject. Having a revision-proof and legally compliant way to archive SharePoint content is a major concern at a very large number of companies. Companies with decentralized organization exhibited a strong interest in SAPERION ECM Together. As a cloud-based solution, it provides legally-secure archiving while giving users the freedom to access documents anywhere, anytime.
SAPERION is one of the only DMS and ECM manufacturers to offer a seamless approach to migrating out of legacy archives. Many visitors, particularly those from larger corporations, found this capability appealing. Documents remain in their original format; the SAPERION ECM Suite accesses legacy data through internally developed connectors. Compared to conventional migrations, this approach is significantly faster and reduces project risk. Experience shows that this is the only economically justifiable way to convert large archives, often containing several million documents, to a new system. To further sweeten the deal, SAPERION will accept OpenText and EASY software as payment when a customer selects the SAPERION ECM Suite with the connectors.
