Media Advisory: WWF Celebrates Earth Hour in Roncesvalles Village

(firmenpresse) - TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 03/20/13 -- To celebrate the sixth anniversary of Earth Hour, WWF-Canada is organizing an all-ages community concert in the core of Roncesvalles Village on Saturday, March 23.

The free musical event will feature live performances by Liam Titcomb, the Lucas Stagg Band, Etobicoke School for the Arts show choir, SPLASH, and Earth Hour Anthem composer, Andrew Huang.

CBC's Garvia Bailey returns as the Earth Hour event emcee. Other guests include MPP Cheri DiNovo, City Councillor Gord Perks and Earth Hour Team Captains, Karyn Klaire Koski and Hannah Alper.

Kowski and Alper are two of seven champions from all over Canada recognized by WWF for their commitment to community-based environmental initiatives.

Earth Hour brings together people of all ages and backgrounds, from around the world to sound a clear call-to-action for our most pressing global challenge: climate change.
