(PresseBox) - In the course of the 2010 Open Source Day in May, COMPAREX Poland was awarded for its outstanding overall efforts in the area of alternative database systems and application environments as Red Hat Linux? best partner in 2009. In attendance of 600 guests the award was handed over by Waldemar Pawlak, the Polish Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Economy.

This year?s Open Source Day was held in the Palace of Culture and Science in Warsaw. It is the largest conference with regard to Open Source and its applications in various fields of the national economy in Poland. The conference was hosted under the honorary patronage of the Polish Ministry of National Economy. The event was attended by organizations from the public sector and other branches of national economy.
