Supergirl Snow Pro in Conjunction With Community Cup Confirmed for April 6th
Top Female Snowboarders Gather at Breckenridge Ski Resort for the Only Televised All-Girls Pro Slope-Style Competition in the US
(firmenpresse) - INDIALANTIC, FL -- (Marketwire) -- 03/21/13 -- ASA Entertainment announced today that the Supergirl Jam Series is combining forces with the Community Cup to form the only televised all-girls World Snowboard Tour sanctioned event in the US, on April 6, 2013 at Breckenridge Ski Resort. Admission to the event is free.
The event will serve as a showcase for the best of women's snowboarding in a contest completely designed by the riders. While 2013 marks the first Supergirl Snow Pro and Community Cup partnership, the event marks the seventh year of the Supergirl Jam Series women's snowboarding competition.
"The past several years have seen huge progression in female snowboarding and we wanted to provide a platform for these dynamic women to reach an even broader audience," said Rick Bratman, CEO of ASA Entertainment, the event's management company. "The fact that there were no televised all-girls WST events in the US was an injustice, and we felt that it was important to take this step in support of women's snowboarding. We are pleased to partner with Breck, Community Cup, Warner Bros. Consumer Products and the top pros to create this historic event."
Twenty-five of the world's top snowboarders will compete, including stars Spencer O'Brien, Torah Bright, Kjersti Buaas, Sarka Pancochova, Silje Norendal, Sina Candrian, Celia Miller, Cilka Sadar, Helene Olafsen, Silvia Mittermuller, Aimee Fuller, Rebecca Torr, Jordie Karlinski, Jenny Jones, and more.
The event supports eco-awareness and sustainability efforts through organizations like the Non-Toxic Revolution, Keep-A-Breast, Protect-Our-Winters, Plastic Pollution Coalition, 5Gyres and One Life.

This is the first event of the 2013 Supergirl Jam Series, the action sports industry's only large-scale all-female competition and lifestyle series. Developed as a celebration of female empowerment, the Supergirl Jam Series features more than 150 female pros competing in snowboarding, skateboarding and surfing as well as 'girl-power' activities at events held throughout the year.

The event coincides with a live concert by the Mighty Mighty Bosstones as part of Breck's Spring Fever Festival and will have an eco village with green workshops as part of its commitment to eco-awareness and sustainability.
The Supergirl Snow Pro in conjunction with the Community Cup will be broadcast nationally on Fox Sports Net (FSN) in the fall.
