Ahold share buyback update

Amsterdam, the Netherlands, March 25, 2013 - Ahold has repurchased 620,254 Ahold
common shares in the period from March 18, 2013 up to and including March
22, 2013. The shares were repurchased at an average price of ? 11.8484 per share
for a total consideration of ? 7.35 million. These repurchases were made as part
of the ? 500 million share buyback program announced on February 28, 2013.
The total number of shares repurchased under this program to date is 1,580,850
common shares for a total consideration of ? 18.41 million.
