Brings Substantial Healthcare IT Expertise to Wolf & Company's Strong IT Assurance Services Practice
(firmenpresse) - BOSTON, MA -- (Marketwire) -- 03/26/13 -- is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Kanarellis Senior Manager in Wolf's Information Technology Assurance Services group. Working from the Boston office, Kanarellis will assist the firm in their efforts to penetrate the healthcare space with a robust set of services including IT Assurance Services; IT Audit, Infrastructure review, Penetration testing, IT Controls Review, and Regulatory Compliance Audits.

"Furthermore, he brings new expertise to Wolf with his work in various compliance areas including HIPAA, The HITECH ACT, Meaningful Use risk assessments, and other state privacy laws."
Kanarellis comes to Wolf with more than 20 years of expertise. Prior to joining the firm he was the Director of Sales at Security Management Partners in Waltham, MA where he oversaw all aspects of sales and marketing and managed SMP's top 50 accounts in the banking, healthcare, bio-pharma, and corporate verticals.
Along with the addition of Kanarellis, Wolf and Company is launching a Healthcare IT roundtable series. The series is designed to address the significant changes in regulations occurring in healthcare. The first roundtable takes place on March 28th at 8:00 am and will cover Demystifying Risk Assessments. Wolf experts will discuss:
What the various regulatory statutes (HIPAA, HITECH, Meaningful Use, FISMA) say about conducting risk assessments
How to perform an IT risk assessment
How to take action on the IT risk assessment results
On March 14th Kanarellis also launched Wolf & Company's Healthcare IT Connection, an E-newsletter that will be distributed monthly touching on relevant regulatory and security threat concerns that touch all healthcare organizations.
