China's Steel Holding Group Selects Lantech's Industrial Switches for Converter Steelmaking

(PresseBox) - As one of the top ten group companies of the subprovincial city in China, which is also one of the top 500 enterprises in the country, Company Q specializes in steel manufacturing. The company adopts Lantech's industrial switches for their 80ton converter control system, which includes several stations: HRSG (heat recovery steam generator), gas recycling system, sedimentation tank, converter, dust collecting system, feeding machines, and plantlevel control room.
The project adopts Lantech's IES-2216C and IES-2208C, the managed industrial switches, at these stations. Both models have 2 10/100/1000T/Dual Speed SFP Combo ports, which connect to backbone Ring network. The IES-2216C and IES-2208C connects to PLCs or IPCs by theirs 16 10/100TX ports and 8 10/100TX ports.
The two models are able to work well in harsh environment with standard operating temperature from -20°C to 60°C. Not only protected by the IP30 rated housing, the two models have also been undertaken several rigorous mechanical tests to comply with free fall, shock and vibration stability test requirements. Lantech IES-2216C and IES-2208C provide long term reliability in critical steelmaking environment.
With Lantech exclusive Pro-Ring system, the switches of these stations are connected in one ring, which is able to recover the network by backup path within 10ms automatically.
