FAST Casualwear expands distribution network
Hamburg, 28 March 2013 - FAST Casualwear AG, a thriving manufacturer of
casual footwear and apparel in China, recently signed a new distribution
contract with a distributor situated in Beijing. In cooperation with the
new distributor, FAST plans to open between five and ten new FAST shops in
Beijing in 2013. Expanding the distribution network is one of the main
targets of FAST's marketing strategy and sets the platform for further
profitable growth.
Via the new distributor and the new shops in Beijing, FAST will enter into
a tier one city in China for the first time, having a strong strategic
impact on the further development and promotion of the FAST brand. Within
the new shops the company will further strengthen the sales of its own
products in one of the largest city in China, reaching a population of 30
million people. Beijing is a target city for FAST, not only because it's
the biggest city in China, the political centre and a well-known and fast
developing touristic area, but also because of the sizeable population of
consumers falling under the middle-income category with an increasingly
higher spending power due to rising affluence.
'We're pleased about the successful conclusion of the new distribution
agreement that will further help us to increase our sales volume in the
future. At the same time this agreement will promote our own brand in the
most important city of China,' says Wing Chi Chong, CEO of FAST Casualwear
AG.
Since the launch of FAST's own brand products in 2007, FAST's distribution
network has expanded rapidly. In 2012 FAST added 114 new retail outlets to
its distribution network. The company currently sells its products through
a total of 26 distributors, which operate 166 exclusive FAST stores and 706
non-exclusive retail outlets.

group of companies engaged in the design, production and sale of
casualwear, consisting of footwear and apparel including accessories. It
mainly designs and produces casualwear under its own brand name 'FAST',

unaffiliated regional distributors, who sell the products via retail

Its distribution network consists of more than 872 retail outlets in over
100 cities throughout China. FAST also designs and produces footwear as
contract manufacturer for international brand owners, mainly from Europe
and the U.S. FAST's operating facilities are located in the southeast of
China in Jinjiang City, Fujian Province, one of the largest footwear
manufacturing hubs in China. FAST employs around 1,000 employees.
