AkzoNobel completes divestment of Decorative Paints North America

AkzoNobel has today finalized the $1.05 billion sale of its North American
Decorative Paints business to US-based PPG Industries, Inc. The deal was
announced on December 14, 2012.

AkzoNobel continues to have a strong presence in North America through its
Performance Coatings and Specialty Chemicals businesses, with combined 2012
revenues of close to $3 billion and around 5,000 employees.
