Statesman Resources Ltd.: Sale of Kansas Assets

(TSX VENTURE: SRR) (the "Company") is pleased to announce that it continues to rationalise its portfolio of non-core assets through the sale of the Reichel gas field and related leases for a total consideration of US$302,500. With continued low gas prices being realised in Kansas together with the low gas quality, the field required significant further investment to generate an income stream material to the Company.
The Board continues to pursue its African focussed exploration strategy and significant progress has been made with respect to commencement of geological and geophysical work in Block 14 in Sudan which was awarded in July 2012.
