Jamie Brown Joins Difference Capital
(firmenpresse) - TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- 04/04/13 -- Difference Capital Funding Inc. ("DCF") (TSX VENTURE: DCF) is pleased to announce that Difference Capital Management Inc. ("Difference Capital") has appointed Jamie M. Brown as Partner, effective April 15, 2013.
Jamie Brown has over 15 years' experience in investment banking and management in both Canadian and U.S. capital markets. Jamie joins Difference Capital from Canaccord Financial where he served as Vice Chairman and President of its U.S. division, Canaccord Genuity Inc.
In 2006, Jamie was appointed Head of U.S. Investment Banking and then assumed the role of President in 2008 overseeing operations in Boston, New York, San Francisco, Houston and leading a team of 250 capital market professionals. Under his leadership, Canaccord's U.S. business experienced significant expansion in the sectors of Technology, Sustainability, Life Sciences, Energy, and Consumer Products and emerged as a top U.S. mid-market equity underwriter. Jamie was also Global Head of Sustainability and CleanTech for Canaccord Genuity, a sector where the firm was recognized as a leader in research and investment banking. He has served on the National Advisory Committee for the TSX Venture Exchange, is currently a member of The Canadian Institute of Chartered Business Valuators and is a Director of BC Hydro, one of Canada's largest utilities.
