Jenoptik increases forecast for Group EBIT 2010 to at least 25 million euros and expects sales of approx. 500 million euros

(PresseBox) - Based on the positive development of business in the 1st halfyear 2010, the continuing good demand from the semiconductor industry as well as a better than expected recovery in demand from the automotive industry the Group now anticipates to generate a Group EBIT of at least 25 million euros (previously 15 to 25 million euros) in fiscal year 2010. Group sales are forecast to come in at approx. 500 million euros (previously 475 to 500 million euros). The improvement in the EBIT will also be reflected in the positive net income.
In the 1st halfyear 2010 the Jenoptik Group generated sales of approx. 239 million euros (prev. year 231 million euros) and an EBIT of slightly more than 10 million euros (prev. year minus 4.6 million euros) according to preliminary calculations. Order intake was approx. 300 million euros (prev. year 218 million euros). It included the major orders in the areas of traffic safety, medical lasers and defense.
The interim report on the 1st halfyear 2010 will be published on August 12, 2010.
