Ahold share buyback update

Amsterdam, the Netherlands, April 8, 2013 - Ahold has repurchased 227,459 Ahold
common shares in the period from April 1, 2013 up to and including April
5, 2013. The shares were repurchased at an average price of ? 12.2287 per share
for a total consideration of ? 2.78 million. These repurchases were made as part
of the ? 500 million share buyback program announced on February 28, 2013.
The total number of shares repurchased under this program to date is 3,460,526
common shares for a total consideration of ? 40.97 million.
