Effisoft USA, Reinsurance Software Vendor, Names Sebbag CEO and Head of North American Operations

(firmenpresse) - DALLAS, TX -- (Marketwired) -- 04/08/13 -- Effisoft USA, the new US subsidiary of Effisoft, Europe's leading vendor, has appointed Joseph Sebbag CEO for the United States and Canada as part of its drive to dramatically expand its business in North America. Effisoft USA is based in Dallas.

Sebbag was director of business development for Canada at MphasiS-Wyde, a provider of core insurance systems.

Previously, he was assistant vice president, reinsurance, at SCOR, where he was an executive member of SCOR's management team for US operations and reported to the CEO of the Americas. As a member of SCOR's reinsurance administration system committee, he played an instrumental role in the development of the specifications, deployment and enhancement of SCOR's global reinsurance system.

Sebbag is a graduate of Excelsior College, where he majored in management and insurance. He has five industry designations: FLMI (Fellow, Life Management Institute, with distinction), ARA (Associate, Reinsurance Administration), AFSI (Associate, Financial Services Institute), CIOP (Chartered Insurance Operation Professional) and ACS. He is fluent in four languages and is a licensed commercial pilot.

Based in Paris, the worldwide company has more than 300 clients in five continents and 15 countries, including the United States. Effisoft's WebXL software is a comprehensive reinsurance platform that supports the administration of ceded, assumed and retroceded reinsurance for all lines of business.
